First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, Georgia – - Thank you!

Thanks as always to the fantastic group from the First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, Georgia who returned for their THIRD visit to work with our Kinder and community children in El Porvenir. The group also visited and bonded with our friends at Proyecto Alcance in La Masica. A great time was had by all!

Eckerd College workgroup does great work!!

Fourteen volunteers from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida spent their spring break via HondurasChildren volunteering at the SOS Children’s Village (orphanage) of La Ceiba. The group repaired the ‘caseta’ that is used by the guard and did activities with the children as well.
One of the volunteers described it as, “a life changing week for all of us as the kids truly impacted each of our lives. Besides our time and experiences with them, we left behind this renovated guard house, so now everyone who enters la aldea will be welcomed by us.”
Our sincere thanks to the students of Eckerd College for spending their spring break making life better for children in Honduras. We welcome college workgroups to come and help with our projects and are looking forward to welcoming back our annual groups from both Duke University and Virginia Tech.
