HondurasChildren encourages interaction between culturally deprived children in Honduras and our amazing, caring sponsors. This exchange expands the children’s horizons while also giving our sponsors life changing opportunities to provide for children who deserve so much more than they have.

While sponsorship funds are pooled to help meet the needs of all children within a specific project, we believe the emotional support that an individual child receives from his or her sponsor is equally important to the child’s well-being. Our program encourages you to establish a personal relationship and communicate regularly with your sponsored child!

Letters & Photos
Your sponsored child will be thrilled to receive letters and photos from you, as this lets them know in a personal way that someone cares. The children will write you from time to time, but in Spanish. Volunteers will include an English translation for you whenever possible. It’s ok to write back to your child in English. Our in-country volunteers will read these letters to your child.
You can look forward to correspondence from and about your sponsored child . Your child will send you cards and letters a few times a year by regular mail. You will also receive semi-annual email updates with current photos of your child. Please keep us current with your contact information so you don’t miss anything!

Emails & Skype
You may also email letters to your sponsored child! Just send them to sponsor@honduraschildren.org and an in-Honduras volunteer will read your letter to your child. New! – - If you have Skype, we are now able to arrange a personal ‘visit’ with your sponsored child. Please save this for special occasions like birthdays.
